Portia is the author of The Wild Awakened, the first book in the Soul and Soil Trilogy, a dark urban fantasy exploring power, loyalty, and the fragile line between human and wild. Her stories are drawn to the quiet strength of animals, the complexity of human choices, and the cost of becoming who you were always meant to be.

Before turning to fiction, Portia spent years in the corporate world in a high-flying role, navigating high-stakes decisions, long hours, and relentless expectations. While her professional life was defined by structure and precision, storytelling became her sanctuary: a place where instinct mattered more than logic, and where the imagination could run wild.

She has always felt a deep connection to animals, and that bond lies at the heart of her writing. Her work often explores themes of identity, transformation, betrayal, and resilience, brought to life through emotionally grounded characters and immersive supernatural worlds.

Portia lives with her loving partner and two deeply opinionated, bossy cats who firmly believe they are in charge of everything. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found observing animals, traveling around the world, reading fantasy, or imagining the unseen world that exists just beyond the edges of our own.

The Wild Awakened is her debut novel and the beginning of a larger journey into the Wildbound world.
