While her professional life was defined by structure and precision, storytelling became her sanctuary: a place where instinct mattered more than logic, and where the imagination could run wild.
She has always felt a deep connection to animals, and that bond lies at the heart of her writing. Her work often explores themes of identity, transformation, betrayal, and resilience, brought to life through emotionally grounded characters and immersive supernatural worlds.
Portia lives with her loving partner and two deeply opinionated, bossy cats who firmly believe they are in charge of everything. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found observing animals, traveling around the world, reading fantasy, or imagining the unseen world that exists just beyond the edges of our own.
